Fed up with how your kitchen looks but don´t want to completely renovate it? Try some of these easy ideas to update how it looks:
Add some wallpaper to one of the walls for an instant updated look.
Create a section for growing your own herbs to add some natural character.
A simple branch from outside can be used to hang some of your utensils on. Add some hooks to the wall and then just sit your branch on top.
Add a shelf to one corner and create yourself a mini office area if you are a busy business person and find you need to check through emails while eating breakfast.
Want to add a bit of decoration to your walls? Hang old vinyls for a more vintage vibe.
You can now buy chalkboard paint so how about painting a section with this then using it to write your groceries, or an area that your kids can actually write on the walls. You can also use to write reminders so you never forget to do anything again.
Simply adding a new layer of paint can instantly give it that new feeling.
Buy some new pots and pans, then you have no excuses to get rid of that old pan than everything sticks to that is covered in burn marks.
Change the door handles or paint your cupboards a new colour.
Add some wood look tiles to the floor or add some rugs to places like in front of the sink or under the dining table.
Spent too much time to putting everything in a draw and now its all disorganized? Buy some dividers for the draw or some containers that everything can fit in. That way you will never have to spend ages looking for that spatula in the back of the draw again.
Change the door of the kitchen for a simple updated look, or even take the door off altogether for a very slight open kitchen style.
Buy some hooks to hang up your oven glove/towels etc.
Buy some new covers for your lights or simply take the ones you have off and give it a good clean. You´ll be amazed how much more bright it looks when you get all the dust and dirt off your light covers.
