It was made in the 19th century and was rumored that the owners used to kidnap young girls in the area and torture them then kill them. They would then use secret passages under the house to dispose of the bodies near the river. No evidence was found to convict the family, the only clue was the missing girls that would turn up in the river near the house. It is believed that more bodies are buried deep within the grounds on the house as well.
It has been examined by many experts and has reports of people hearing screams and sightings of ghosts. Some movies have also been filmed there due to its scary look. There have been many plans for the house over the years, which due to what some people think is the bad luck of the house, never went through.
