So last summer in Marbella there was a lot of drunken behaviour which if that is what you enjoy then I would not come to Marbella this year as the authorities are clamping down on unacceptable behaviour.  To keep the balance there will be new regulations in place this year so if you are planning a trip to Marbella then be sure to read on.

So for those living in Marbella or planning a trip you may have seen that the weather has not been great.  Thanks to Storm Emma and Storm Felix we have had a lot of rain and wind.  Not the normal sunshine everyday that we usually get.  Luckily it seems like the rain should be slowing by the end of the week then next week there will be more sun, although still light rain some days, nothing like what we have been having. At the international tourism fair it was predicted that Andalucia are expecting 30 million tourists in 2018.  Marbella alone sees an increase in tourists every year and this year will be prepared for more tourists.  With new road works planned for the A7 including access roads to help with traffic.  New hotels including Nobu Hotel due to open in the Golden Mile in March.  There are plans for lifesaving rings on 3 beaches - venus, cabopino and san pedro should anyone get into difficulty.  There will be a new ferry line to Santander Spain direct from Cork Ireland with Brittany Ferries, the first direct ferry from Ireland to Spain.  It will run twice a week and it will take 26 hours.  There is still talks of a rail line between Malaga and Marbella so there are plenty of improvements being made this year which will help cope with the influx of tourists.
