Tips for Garden Statues

You just bought a beautiful new home and the furniture is set, now you are thinking what to do with the garden.

While at the garden centre you spot a couple of nice statues that you think would look amazing in your garden.  You buy them, get them home and now you´re thinking where to put them.

First of all when you buy statues you need to think about what theme your garden has if any.  Is it full of flowers, is it more flat with pavement.  When you see your garden what does it remind you of?  Is it an Alice in Wonderland style?  You need to pick your statues to fit the theme of your garden.  If your garden does not have a theme then pick one and stick to it.  When you start mixing themes then your garden may start to look cluttered and awkward.  So think about do you want a zen garden with a Buddha, some little gnomes, animals, angels or whatever else you can think of.

Next you need to take in consideration the size of your garden,  if you have a small garden you don´t want a huge statue stuck in the middle that is in the way.

Take note of where you will be sat either outside or from a window, there´s no point having a statue if you can´t see it.

Really look at your garden and see which parts you want to emphasize.  So to make your pond stand out and look nicer you could put a couple of little frog statues next to it.  Maybe you have a favorite tree that you want to put some deer statues next to it.  Or perhaps you have a open space that you are not sure how to decorate it - why not try a nice round water feature in the middle.

If you get really stuck, then just keep it simple, try a couple of little statues and just put them next to a plant pot and see how you like it.
