Welcome 2016

Well today is a holiday in Spain and it will be the last holiday for Christmas before everything is back to normal.

So now we welcome 2016 and we hope it is a successful year to all of you.

Have you made any resolutions?  Here are a few tips to help you stick to them:

  1. Write them down and stick them to a mirror or somewhere you will see to help remind you.
  2. Discuss your resolutions with family and friends so you can help boost each other when you are feeling like giving up.
  3. Think about why you have made these resolutions (what is your end goal).  If you've made it just for the sake of making one then you probably wont follow through.  If you have a clear idea what your end goal is then that will help to push you to acheive it.
  4. Make sure your resolution is atually manageable, not just something you want to happen but can't actually acheive.
  5. If it is a big goal, like losing a certain amount of weight for example, spit it up into smaller steps. Set out meal plans, set time aside to work out.  Splitting it up will make it easier to reach than just hoping it will happen without even planning properly.
  6. Treat yourself.  When you hit small milestones to your big overall goal, give yourself a treat to motivate you to keep going.
  7. Ask for help, if you are unsure on how to acheive your goals then just ask others for advice and help.
  8. Keep your goal fun.  If you have decided to join the gym, usually after a couple of weeks people give up.  If exercise is your goal then try different methods to keep you interested.  Try dance class, yoga, kick boxing - It doesn't always have to be treadmills and weight machines.
  9. Reevaluate your goals as you go.  Are you still wanting the same thing or have you chanced your mind and need to move in a new direction. Are you on the right path or do you need to motivate yourself again.
  10. Lastly don't be afraid to give up if you need to.  If you have decided to exercise more but are in pain then you need to stop pushing yourself.  Either pull back and do less or stop altogether.  Your health is more important than sticking to the resolution. You can always change your resolution to something else you feel you can improve.
