2016 was a year of uncertainty for the property market thanks to Brexit putting many people on hold with investment plans while they see how it affects the market.  However, here in Marbella thanks to the town being multi-cultural even with the loss of some British buyers there were buyers from other parts of the world.  Here at South Spain Properties we saw a surge of buyers from France and Italy. First of all now the pound is strong and still growing it means buyers from the UK can save a good amount on buying right now.  For example if you buy something for €200,000 you will save more than £16,000 because of the current exchange rates.  Also in the Marbella area we are seeing properties actually raising their prices so with that in mind and with the current exchange rates it is definitely time to buy.
